Salons Direct, founded in 1992 is one of the UK’s largest online suppliers of professional hair and beauty products with over 150,000 products. This includes huge brands such as olaplex, L’oreal, OPI, Redken and Dyson. From starting as a small family business, they now send out over 200,000 items monthly and have become the one stop shop for industry professionals.

Following their growing success, Salons Direct has recently launched a new innovative ‘Pro Club,’ a membership and loyalty program designed to offer exclusive benefits to its members. This program provides premium perks and rewards to enhance the overall experience for customers who are part of the club.

This includes:

  • Unlimited free next day delivery - no minimum spend
  • Point system on every order - earn 5% of total back in points and redeem awards
  • Priority customer service
  • Exclusive discounts across entire ranges

In order for us to build a bespoke product for Salons Direct we leveraged Braintree Subscriptions and Yotpo marketing platform to create a seamless customer experience. By further developing with Braintree Subscriptions we gave customers annual and monthly membership options to better suit their individual needs and lifestyles.

Additionally, we implemented tokenization to safely store customers’ card details. This feature allows subscriptions to be renewed automatically for a hassle free experience as well as adding a layer of security. Ensuring that customers can enjoy uninterrupted access to their benefits without any inconvenience.

Moreover, by integrating ShipperHQ into the framework, we were able to improve the shipping experience for Pro Club members. This allows us to offer various shipping methods that cater specifically to the membership status, such as exclusive next day delivery for premium members.

Through this collaboration, we have created a comprehensive membership program that emphasises convenience, security, and tailored experiences, ultimately strengthening the relationship between Salons Direct and its customers. This approach not only enhances customer satisfaction but also drives loyalty and engagement for Salons Direct.
